Hi,
I have restored my 1981 RMC-S for a while go.
I replaced the fork bearings.
I have trouble with the top bearing ring, it seems to unwind.
Shall there be a locking nut on top of the bearing ring?
Sorry if my question are stupid, but I got my Kreidler in bad shape, and I don't know what parts are needed.
Best regards,
Frank

On this site you can download the blue service-manuell.
Scroll down on the left side.
Montageanleitung
There are all infos.
You can also look in the part list.
I assume, you need the nut (5).

Re: Front fork bearing
Probably you need in addition the washer(s) to fill the room between the top-bearing ring and the top-plate (washers number 4).
To check how many washers you need, tighten the top-plate with the two front screws, and then you have to check, how much space there is between the top-bearing ring and the top-plate.
This space you have to fill with the washers. If not, you could get the described problems (unlocking the nut).
Greetings
Carsten

Re: Front fork bearing
I guess that it is a question of re-adjustment of the bearing. Maybe a several times.
If fitted correctly , it won't go loose.

Re: Front fork bearing
recently I had to fill there 1,9mm, so measure it with a set of feelergauges and select different shims to order https://www.kreidlerwebshop.nl/?zoek-re ... e=shim+bal
